Arcane is a beautifully animated 2-season-long Netflix show with phenomenal character writing, immersive world building and a noteworthy soundtrack. It's about to air its final episodes this weekend and as a certified nobody, I highly recommend watching it.

I looked into it because the show is so amazing. The game does not look amazing. It looks boring, frustrating, and basic.

I kind of wish this beautiful animation, huge effort, high budget and excellent storytelling hadn't been the product of a fucking Riot game. That company, its business model and its players are so toxic the success of the Arcane series feels hollow to me.

I played the game once and immediately dropped it, but Arcane had me gripped all the way through. The people who worked on the show absolutely deserve the praise.

I also highly recommend watching it! The fight scenes are awesome and the animation is soooo fluid. Such a good example of adapting a game’s world to a series

Any way to purchase the series instead? I canceled Netflix when they added a subscription tier that shows ads to people who pay.

I don’t want to support a streaming service whose customers are advertisers instead of viewers.
