Otis, when the safety brakes failed.

Probably translated word for word by someone who didn’t speak both languages, like English As She Is Spoke or All Your Base Are Belong To Us. I wonder what the other language was, though.

[–] Zagorath@aussie.zone 15 points 4 days ago

Is there any language in which a definite article on its own is a perfectly valid sentence or phrase?

[–] lunarul@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

More likely poorly written in the original language, then passed through Google Translate or other automated translator.

I could have sworn this went through Google translate four or five times.

It implies we are definitely thanking someone, but not so sure if that someone is you. No, it is you, I am sure now.

Is this a poem? Dadaist or something?

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

Your welcome

The intention was there, just not the structure.

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Is it bad I kinda understood that? Except the bellybutton part.

Sounds like a speech by Charlie Kelly

[–] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

This is far too coherent to be Charlie.

[–] nothing@lemm.ee 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Oh well I'm sure he dictated it. It's not crayon drawings.

Sharpie. Cheeto in chief uses sharpies.

[–] spongeborgcubepants@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

This is clearly a Sunny reference

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 2 points 4 days ago

Maybe they should stop having Charlie write the notices.

This has community top post potential and as the current holder of the title. It strikes fear in me

My friend is an ESL teacher. I sent this to her and said it's probably the most cruel thing she can post in her classroom
