Ads are designed to capture attention. Driving requires attention. Ads in cars should be illegal, as should road billboards.

If at any point I buy a car and it begins showing me ads I will promptly return it to the dealership... at 55mph.

More realistically I'll probably just continue to drive my '07 till the bottom falls out, the way new cars are going.
