I get it. I hated all the popular music when I was in high school too.

[–] MsPenguinette@lemmy.world 54 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Trump starting his Hot Topic era. Vance's guyliner was a gateway drug for him. The real question is skinny jeans or Tripp pants?

He's really there when he wears his dpg collar and studded belt

[–] NegativeLookBehind@lemmy.world 91 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Aw somebody missed nap time today huh

[–] dariusj18@lemmy.world 31 points 2 months ago (2 children)

It's funny because this is exactly the way kids act when they are tired/hungry. They hate everything.

[–] GetOffMyLan@programming.dev 13 points 2 months ago

When my little one is having a strop, regardless of the reason, he just says "I don't like my brother" haha

He loves his brother, he just knows it'll get a reaction.

[–] kautau@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

Donny, you’re not you when you’re hungry, here’s a double quarter pounder with cheese, since you refuse to eat the “grown up food” that the White House chefs prepared when you were in office

The wiser thing would have been for Trump to just ignore her and move along. But when has wisdom ever got in the way of Donald Trump.

[–] Red_October@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Sure but this way one of his cultists might actually try to take revenge against his marked enemy. Wouldn't be the first time.

This petty man letting something go? Not a chance.

[–] frunch@lemmy.world 59 points 2 months ago (1 children)

But he was so enthusiastic about her endorsement the other day!!

[–] cybervseas@lemmy.world 29 points 2 months ago

"I accept!" 🤣

[–] ModestMeme@lemm.ee 59 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It took him a whole week to come up with that?

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 21 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The caps lock key is in a fairly obscure position.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

Yeah it's in his brain

[–] whostosay@lemmy.world 56 points 2 months ago (2 children)

i like how they opted to use 'k' as an abbreviation for an already 4 digit number in order to make it appear that more people give a shit.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago

Looking at the thing again to verify what you said let me see that they call shares "re-truths" which is so perfectly on the nose it would be groan inducing if this was a novel instead of real life.

[–] HEXN3T@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I don't get it. 1.35k = 1,350. Neither of these look larger than the other.

[–] whostosay@lemmy.world 22 points 2 months ago (2 children)

They do when you look quickly and miss the period.

How long until she sees an uptick in death threats and bomb threats?

[–] protist@mander.xyz 29 points 2 months ago (2 children)

She's one of the world's top celebrities, she's no stranger to those things and has her own security service

[–] MsPenguinette@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago

I do imagine that having the world's largest cult leader declaring you an enemy to his unhinged sheep does increase the amount and types of security she needs.

[–] SlippiHUD@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago

Sure, but it's hard to belive this won't cause a statistically significant bump.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 21 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Bad plan. You want to get millions of people out for your blood? Threaten Taylor Swift.

[–] SlippiHUD@lemmy.world 17 points 2 months ago (6 children)

Has he ever had a good one?

[–] edgemaster72@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago

He has concepts of a good plan, he just hasn't thought of one yet

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago (3 children)

In terms of his success or in terms of being hilarious to me?

Holy shit the thumbnail for that link in my lemmy client is the most hilariously cringe thing I've ever seen

Edit: it's a blown up version of his profile picture on that site

[–] BigMacHole@lemm.ee 19 points 2 months ago

But Donald Trump showed me a Picture of Her Endorsing Him? Why does he Hate her now?

[–] zephorah@lemm.ee 18 points 2 months ago

Two pretty women rejected him in one day.

What do [toxic] men fear most? That women will laugh at them.

[–] shoulderoforion@fedia.io 17 points 2 months ago (1 children)

he tweets it, other reblog it. are you seeing how this works for him, yet? won't matter. the dopamine hit in getting upvotes for the monster who throws the dead cat on the table outweigh any logical argument on how mockery is precisely what trump and vance want, it takes energy, energy which would otherwise go to praising harris and waltz. he knows he can push them below the fold at any point, including coming off a decisive loss during the debate, and swifts endorsement, all anyone's talked about for 4 days are hatiians in springfield ohio, and that is how internet mockery helps him. this is not new news. yet people can't stop. and trump depends on that. it's all he has.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago (6 children)

Shitting on the most popular musician in the U.S., possibly the world, helps him?

[–] shoulderoforion@fedia.io 15 points 2 months ago (2 children)

yes. if you haven't parsed out the dead cat protocol, simply by watching this idiots actions in the past 8 years, here is boris johnson spelling it out (energy and matter can neither be created nor destroyed, they simply change forms) :

"There is one thing that is absolutely certain about throwing a dead cat on the dining room table – and I don't mean that people will be outraged, alarmed, disgusted. That is true, but irrelevant. The key point, says my Australian friend, is that everyone will shout, "Jeez, mate, there’s a dead cat on the table!" In other words, they will be talking about the dead cat – the thing you want them to talk about – and they will not be talking about the issue that has been causing you so much grief."

this is all trump has, and every reblog and repetition only assists him, because it pushes harris out of the news cycle. seemingly bright people still don't understand it, even after so much time, and trump doing the same exact this over and over again. dude is close to winning another term as president, because he does THIS exact thing.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Wow. You think Trump is smart.

It's really more that he can't imagine treating a dog well. IMO that's much worse.
