Signal is being blocked in Venezuela and Russia. The app is a popular choice for encrypted messaging and people trying to avoid government censorship, and the blocks appear to be part of a crackdown on internal dissent in both countries. In Venezuela, the blockage follows the disputed results of the country’s presidential election last month, which have led to protests and arrests as president Nicolás Maduro clings to power, according to MSNBC. (The US has recognized opposition candidate Edmundo González as the winner of the election.) This article might be propaganda.

Oh wait...I see the writer of the article showed MSNBC as one of his or her sources, so it's definitely some kind of propaganda to push more Russia hysteria and to manufacture consent for stealing all of Venezuela's oil.

this. the venezuela thing is not new. in fact, it has been tried, what, like six times in the last couple of decades? they tried it in my country last year and "failed".

the us just wants to get a foothold in south america again and this legit scares me.

okay so I want to be clear I'm not calling this into question, but is this just a tweet from a Venezuelan saying that the website is blocked on most ISPs? has there been anything from the government about it?
