Cool, at least someone can now explain how it works

Is there any hope for Lemmy?

[–] Virku@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 4 months ago

I'm guessing it was branded as fashionable and affordable at the same time at some point.

“Hey chief, this guy doesn’t know about the three shells!”

What's the OP about - why do Germans have 'leaf salad bowls'?

I'm guessing it's some Nazi joke or something?

[–] EmoDuck@sh.itjust.works 30 points 4 months ago (1 children)

No joke at all. We just seem to really love that leaf design for some reason

Interesting.. Pretty sure I've seen one in my family with no German heritage I'm aware of, so it seemed kinda strange to me.

It's possible to not be German and still enjoy the shape of leaves. Surprising, I know, but true

I am aware, I was referencing OPs post. But good on you

My grandma has one, and her mother was German. Coincidences?

[–] rimjob_rainer@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I never owned one of these

[–] bradorsomething@ttrpg.network 1 points 4 months ago

So you had… nein.

[–] iiGxC@slrpnk.net 5 points 4 months ago

Holy shit my family had these, I didn't realize it was widespread 🤯

I'm sure Mr Brazilian knows how bowls work, but like me doesn't understand how they can be Canadian

My big bowl broke in a move. Still have the plates and smaller bowls. Not sure where the mugs ended up. [Edit to add: Got them in Canada. Haven't seen any in Australia.]
