Israel has been a strategic ally in the middle east for decades. We've been trying to broker peace negotiations with Hamas since forever. The arms deals have slowed, with Rafah being a major point of contention. It's really fun to scream about genocide on Lemmy --the real world is much more complicated.
Lmao I don't give a fuck about United States military strategy, especially if it requires funding genocide to enact. That's a horrible reason to do genocide. Because the land will be useful for a world superpower? Do you hear yourself???
