It's been a fun four years since I last had to have these around the house....but alas it's time to bring the potty out once more.

Hopefully he takes to it as well as his sister. I am not confident.

We did the naked method over a long weekend. Essentially, they don't have anything on below, and you are giving them plenty of liquids. The goal is to get them to recognize when they are going to the bathroom. Put towels everywhere.the florr will be peed on. Every time you go to the BR, ask if they would like to join you.

Day 1: There was a lot of pee around the house in the morning. Cameled it in the afternoon until we put on an overnight diaper.

Day 2: a few accidents around the house not as much as day 1. We were regretting trying till about 5pm when I announced I had to pee. He came with me and peed. The rest of the evening he would come with mom or dad to the bathroom when asked and try. Overnight diaper was dry the next day.

Day 3: We put underwear and pants on him. Had a few minor drips, but he seemed to have gotten it.

The biggest challenge was Day Care. He was the 1st in his class to be potty trained. The first few weeks he was having lots of accidents. We figured out the reason fast. They'd line up everyone to go play outside and then say tell our boy he had to go potty first.he didn't want to miss out so he wouldn't go and then have an accident while playing. That was our experience.

Potty trained in essentially 3 days sounds amazing

It was. Naps, now we don't use a pull-up. Overnight, we put on a sleeping pull-up. It's wet, maybe once or twice a week.

We knew he was ready bc e like to follow us into the BR and flush. The hardest part was sitting down for each pee.

How do you know when the kid is ready for this? We tried with ours when she was 22-23 months, and she was very distressed at the whole thing, we decided to lay off until she was less spooked by the potty. But lately she has been showing interest again - what’s the telltale sign to try this method again?

We did this at 2yr-1wk. He was always coming to the BR with us. Enjoyed flushing the toilet. He wanted to wipe us. Those were the signs we had. We had to be persistent in making sure we included him on all our "business"
