EDIT: Thank you all so much for your thoughtful input. It means so much to me.

Hi, all. I'm looking to change my nasty tendency to be a sore loser, particularly when playing games. I tend to personalize losses that are of no consequence. When the game starts to shift against me, I often stop trying as hard because it feels hopeless. My partner is much more proficient at board games than I am, and I don't want this toxic trait of mine to make games less fun for us. What are some things you all tried to lessen this train of thought, if you've experienced it?

How are they designed for rage loops do you think?

Rigged matchmaking for one. You get easier opponents at first or just straight up bots to give you some wins, then you get placed as cannon fodder for other people to rack up some wins and after a few losses riling you up, you get placed back into a bot match to give you that hormone boost you sorely needed.

Exactly , but not only that, time limited grind will force you to play even if you don't feel like it, as they abuse your FOMO. Even worse in free2play games.

Then you have grind achievements from battle pass or equal, like "win 10 matches to get X requirement" which will make you furious once you lost 10 matches in a row. Because they are rigged, to extend your playtime.
