I had to tell a group of 10 year old girls that they should be more mindful of the fact that they're playing around younger kids and I've never felt adrenaline like it. (self.dads)

Do I tell them and risk being openly mocked by a group of kids, or do I risk one of them knocking my five year old off the climbing frame?

I went with the former. They took it well. Dignity in tact.

Dad/Mum Voice is a power like no other. I don't know when I was blessed with it but I know to wield it with care.
