Funnies aside, if you get better quality of sleep you might end up needing less than you currently do

Sadly the "trick" is just to do the things we all know we should do, like exercise, good eating habits, consistent sleeping schedules, etc. Also a lot varies from person to person, and some people sleep better at weird hours, like some people are just naturally night owls.

Even though those things are the answers to improving almost any aspect of your health, I still find it hard to stay motivated.

Meh, motivation is kind of a bad drive anyways, it always runs out, ideally you want to push through until it becomes a habit.... Easier said than done tho, specially with depression which is like an invisible force that doesn't let you do stuff (not to be confused with laziness).

I've found that begrudgingly doing stuff helps, at least in my case.

Spite is my best motivator, even better than novelty! Almost as good as object panic!

I have found I'm always at my best if I sleep around 5-6.5 hours. As I creep towards 8 I get more lethargic and wake up very cranky and inflamed.
