Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

Quite like the development of Jerboa as it stands, but I found the icon of the app to be a bit uninspired (and personally I need to have a dark background so stuff doesn't stand out too much).

Anyway, I got some time on hand last night and prompted DALL-E to create some Jerboa-inspired icons, and after going through dozens and dozens of iterations, prompts and refinements, I was left with 5 that I really like, cleaned them up and tuned them a bit in Photoshop this morning, and here we are:

Now I have no clue what that means in terms of licensing and whatnot. I'm explicitly posting them with no strings attached from my end, but can't tell if any underlying licenses still apply regardless.

Yep, same. Using it myself now. With Nova Launcher you can replace any app icon yourself (might even be possible with stock Android now, I have no idea...).

No Pixel Launcher doesn't allow customisation of app icons, unfortunately. I would love to be able to disable app labels but I can't :(. But I also don't want to use third party launchers because of the gesture navigation bugs/stutters.

But I really like the Material You icons you can enable in the Pixel Launcher.

I'm using gesture navigation exclusively with Nova Launcher, that works without any stuttering. Or is that Pixel specific? I'm using a OnePlus.

It's hard to describe and it's not exactly a stutter. When you open an app and swipe up to return to the home screen there is a short moment where the screen doesn't react to any input which is really annoying.
