When it comes to billionaires, never attribute to stupidity which can be adequately explained by malice.
I'm finding it hard to believe these billionaires are legitimately just making that poor of decisions that happen to be causing significant destruction to major social media platforms.
But then again, elon's kid's name is a great counter example. How the fuck am I not a gazillionaire? Oh right, no family emerald mine.
I love me some DuckTales!
I’m sure it’s purely a coincidence that Twitter and Reddit are both being dismantled a year before the 2024 US election. And that Twitter’s demise was funded by Saudi Arabia.
Musk does seem to relish his chance to play the troll on a global stage, but that’s more of a side perk than the central reason for all of this.
People thinking Elon isnt playing some sort of long game need to ask themselves one question. "If he is just acting like a bored edgelord with too much money. What are the odds that every last decision would be detrimental to the platform?"
Surely, even if by accident. He would make one good decision.
His life is filled with dumb decisions that ended up resulting in something good. I think he just wore out his accidental luck button.
With Reddit, profit or at least trying to make it look good for the IPO explain it.
The Elon Site, I just think his ego and unrealistic dream of an "everything app" guides it, unless he's tanking Twitter for money laundering.
