And I'm taking Poison Ivy off the table. Too easy. I think I'd go with The Penguin, mostly cause that just seems like normal crimes.

Did you stop watching before it ended?

Maybe I've forgotten? Lol I haven't watched it in years and years.

The twist was he was actually not ideological but just a guy who wanted money. A co-worker and I talked this on this day oddly enough about how as far as plot twists go, it's a bit dumb cause it doesn't affect any character in the story and doesn't change the stakes of the problem. No one cared what his motivation was anyway.

It’s like they’re trying to say, “even if you were to somehow agree with a Communist, you can’t trust them, because they could be gaslighting you and using the system for their own nefarious ends like getting a ton of money.” And not even missing a beat when that’s exactly what capitalism is lol

Yeah pretty much. And that's the ideology that led every Gen x guy to be a libertarian

I thought it was part of their over-all cover. If they're ideological they'll fight to the death against an assault. They're doing it for something they believe in.

Whereas if they're just thieves they're more likely to surrender, so the cops can more aggressively push them since, idk, they'll surrender?

It's a misdirection thing to convince the cops that they're a different kind of threat than they really are.
