Is this an actual ad or Photoshop
The fact that there is a shadow from the frame on all sides makes me think its edited.
Damn, good eye.
I hope it's the former
And put it up in conservative areas (e.g. suburban freeway billboards), not the middle of city.
That may not have the effect you seek
It's photoshop. There is zero reflectivity from the glass.
What is that picture? How do I interpret it?
This is a representation of the data density in the jpeg compression. Photos that have been edited and recompressed will often have a different level of detail in the edited regions, or a conspicuous lack of detail as seen in the poster glass here.
See I knew something didn't look right
As far as I can find online, it's real. Would have to have a New Yorker go to 5th Ave. and 49th St. to verify, assuming it's still up.
What are you finding online that seems to validate this?

I have to imagine if it were real we'd have at least 1 other picture, right?
There'd be hundreds. I looked, can't find another one
Ah, so literally nothing. This is absolutely fake.
Exactly.
I'm not an expert by any stretch, but it looks fairly legit.
You can see the lighting of the picture is similar to the lighting of the scene/world, including some mild reflection of the ground and cars in front of the dark parts of the picture (his black jacket).
These are very subtle details that, while always possible to fake, would have been a pretty serious investment in time and energy to have done.
So I'm inclined to think it's legit.
I would imagine only the text is edited
