Oshi no Ko

Is there a point in watching anime if I binged manga first?

I personally think so. You won't be surprised by anything that happens, but if you are a fan of anime, the art and execution of the anime is some of the best that I have seen. The decision to make the first volume be a 90-minute episode 1 really helped get the big surprise out of the way so that the rest of the show can focus on the characters whose POV we follow going forward. In particular, I think episode 6, that focuses on Akane's struggle with social media, has a much stronger impact in anime form over manga. That episode has stuck with me ever since and it is one of the single most emotionally impactful episodes of anime I have ever seen.

Thanks for the analysis. I’ll eager wait for the entire story to finish first then binge the whole thing. I hate waiting for animes with good drama to finish lol
