The event takes place in the spring and autumn of each year, and for the last few years it has been held at the ACC Exhibition Centre on Liverpool’s waterfront. However, taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday, January 14, the official page announced that May’s event would also take place at the M&S Bank Arena, making Comic Con into a “city wide festival” comparable to Eurovision with tens of thousands of extra places available.

Sector-Con, co-created by mega-fan Phillip Larner will be arriving at New Brighton's Floral Pavilion on Sunday (November 26), bringing with it a host of family-friendly activities and over 70 traders and cosplayers. The event is set to be organiser's Empire Sector's biggest yet.

Tickets cost £4 for an advance ticket or £5 on the door. Children under the age of ten will enter for free (must be accompanied by an adult).

The week-long Thought Bubble Festival leads to the internationally acclaimed Thought Bubble Convention. Now in its 16th year, Thought Bubble is taking over the Harrogate Convention Centre over 11-12 November to gather together some of the most influential writers, artists and creators in the world while celebrating Britain's grassroots comics community.

Alongside iconic guests including Jeff Lemire, Jock, Zoe Thorogood, Jason Aaron, and Explodikid, Thought Bubble 2023 will be packed with panels on everything from classic comics to contemporary offerings as well as invaluable Q&As for budding creators and seasoned aficionados alike and, of course, more artwork and memorabilia than you can imagine.

The popular geek-fest Comic-Com will be back in Newcastle - with a winter guest - in a matter of days.

The news is set to delight the fans who turned out to welcome its summer visit to St James' Park in June when the convention was spread out over two floors of the football stadium with everything from retro gaming to display sets and dinosaurs. It will be back there on November 12 with another family-friendly event, this time with a Christmas-theme attraction in The Grinch.

The Comic-Com, which is hosted by Unleashed Events and promises a celebration of all things geeky, is a pop-culture showcase which also includes special appearances by a host of TV and film stars who are there to chat and to sign memorabilia. This time around, media guests will include Amy Manson, who was in the likes of TV series Once Upon A Time and Torchwood; Steven Hartley of The Witcher 3; Sword Coast Legends and The Bill, and Adam Basil who is known for The Last Of Us, Beauty And The Beast and Venom.

Walsall Comic Con return on Sunday, showcasing the biggest and best action hero, villain and comic book costumes in the West Midlands.

Hundreds of sci-fi fans are expected to turn up for the event at the Wolverhampton University Walsall Campus Sports Centre on Gorway Road, Walsall.

Last year's event saw Batman's Tumbler car, as seen in the Dark Knight series, stormtroopers from Star Wars and even John McClane from Die Hard.

Zoe Croft, co-organiser of the event, alongside Mark Woollard, said: "We are so looking forward to bringing Comic Con back to Walsall again. We have found local communities have shown a real desire for an event like this. It’s fully inclusive and it has been great to see so many happy faces at our events.

"There is something to do that appeals to all ages at our events, it is something that the whole family can enjoy together and make some fantastic memories."
