As title suggests, I'm looking to clean up my desktop from any duplicates I have across my different drives, but would also like to be able to easily compare them to make sure they definitely are the same before I delete them.

Reddit did have 3rd party Windows PC apps even tho it didn't have its own official app for Windows PC so i'm wondering if it will be the same for Kbin?

Everything seems to have an RDA associated with it (Recommended Daily Allowance), so I imagine that something like this exists. I'm not interested in weight gain/loss though, purely nutrition. I'm a light eater and I'm sure I could do with supplements or dietary modification.

After having upsetting my friend after a less friendly and more sensitive conversation, I noticed that though I am particularly sensitive I didn't take her treatment towards me to heart and we are speaking just fine as before after 30 minutes. I am in my mid twenties and I noticed that I have a handle on my emotions better though I consider myself as having improper emotional development. I'm guessing it's just a part of growing older if at least biologically.

Have you experienced this, or even found yourself more emotional as you've gotten older?

When will we have a phone (Android/iPhone) apps on kBin? From what I understand developers are waiting for the API.

For me, politician. You have to exploit the worst low instincts of the people to get elect and say what they want to hear, even if you don't think a word about it, and you are not obligated to hold any of your promises.

I see from this Wikipedia article that the fediverse has a LOT of other stuff going on like Friendica, Pixelfed, Streams, Peertube, etc. Does my kbin logon work across the fediverse or do I have to create multiple logons across the fediverse?

It could be something from today, the past week, or whatever. All things big or small are welcome too. I'm sitting outside today as a a part of my daily routine--it's nice and sunny out, and there's a gentle breeze which feels very relaxing. Doing so is pretty nice between the time I spend at the computer.

For me, it's "Nightmare before christmas", it rocked my entire childhood.

I like the images open while scrolling but hate that a video under the fold just starts playing whenever it loads. It's getting more prevalent too. Is there a way I can stop it using mobile Firefox and ublock or would I need to manually block every video source?

Is the "upload a photo" option broken for everyone? I would prefer not to upload pictures to 3rd party services.

Every time I try to upload a photo, I get an error stating that kbin is working on improving services.

Just curious if this is known behavior.

Is there a tool in the works to move about the fediverse?

One of the biggest benefits of the fediverse is that you can see everything and if the person running the instance decides to enshitify it, you can move and lose very little. It’s one of the entire reasons people have been coming here.

When the entire reddit migration was happening many people were told to join any instance. It didn’t matter which one because you could see everything on any of them.

We now know that’s not the case. Beehaw was controversial for blocking certain instances. Lemmygrad is controversial because of their politics. Lenny.world is controversial because no one knows if it’s even working half the time. The instance you pick matters and not everyone has the resources to make their own.

You could join an instance today and then in a couple years your instance owner starts blocking a bunch on stuff that you want to see.

Now, making a new account on another instance is always possible. But what about your comments? Your post history? I look through mine occasionally for videos people have shared with me when I’ve asked for help and such. Not to mention, if people follow you having a way to move them to your new account would be nice.

It shouldn’t be difficult to export everything as a .cvs file. And then the next step would be to have a fediverse wide excepted input process. Everyone in the fediverse, be it mastodon, Lemmy, or kbin would have a button users can “export” their profile to and then upload to a new instance or even platform.

I know moving about the fediverse is easier than other social medias but that doesn’t mean it could be easier and that ease of use could be very beneficial to users
